Truth Metal Tilt Latch, 2-3/8" Housing, Left Hand — Upper SashThis is a metal-housed tilt latch used on the upper sash of tilt-in single hung, double hung, and some slider windows. The grey nylon nose retracts to release the sash for cleaning or removal, and returns under spring pressure to lock the sash back into the frame.Originally supplied on windows from Weather Shield, SNE, Vetter, Crestline, Peachtree, and other builders. The housing is metal with an assorted painted finish, and the nose is grey (Pro Shield Grey) nylon/plastic.Handing can be confusing on tilt latches. This latch is left hand when viewed from the outside of the window, which some manufacturers list as right hand when viewed from inside.
