As long as your hand is held in front of the dimmer, the brightness adjusts continuously from 0 to 100%. With each new hand movement, the direction of dimming changes to brighter or darker. A quick, “swiping” hand movement under the dimmer turns the light off. If the light is turned off using the wall light switch, the dimmer remembers the last brightness setting.
