Learn to Knit Socks | November 3 -17, 2026

This is a 3 session in-person workshop. DATES/TIMES 3 Tuesdays, November 3 - 17, 2026 1st Session, November 3: 6:00 - 7:00pm 2nd Session, November 10: 6:00 - 7:30pm 3rd Session, November 17: 6:00 - 7:00pm COST $105 LEVEL Intermediate/Advanced. Confidence with knitting, purling, working in the round, and basic understanding of increases and decreases. MATERIALS (not included) 400 yards of Sock Yarn (strongly recommended that the yarn has at least 15% nylon, however ask us about the non-nylon options!) Visit the store for yarn selection. US 1 - 2.25 mm 32" circular needle (preferably with a sharper tip) or US 1 DPN's I'm So Basic Socks pattern by Summer Lee - download for free here. DETAILS Knitting socks are a super special thing and there are several different techniques to doing them! I invite you to bump your skills up to the next level. We'll be learning how to knit socks from the top down, learning how to work a heel gusset, turn the heel, decrease and kitchener the toe! Session 1: Magic loop, and discussion of how to do the slip stitch heel flap. Completion of leg and heel flap will be required for homework inbetween the first and second session. Session 2: Turn the heel, pick up along the gusset, body of foot, discussion of toe decreases. Completion of body of sock and toe decreases required in between the second and third session. Session 3: Kitchener stitch the toe. Ages: 18+ Skill Requirements: Intermediate Knitter - confident in knit, purl, working in the round, basic understanding of increases and decreases.
