JR Series 500 Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen (Nozomi) Basic Set The Series 500 is a trainset developed by JR West for the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines; characterized by a sharp, sleek profile reminiscent of an aircraft, it boasted a top operational speed of 300 km/h.
