I'm all ears

I recently walked to Church across the fields from where I live and took a short cut through some woods. Walking for me is always an opportunity to listen, slow down and pray. As I walked a large hare ran down the path towards me and seemingly didn't see me! It got very close and finally stopped and clocked that I was there and sprinted off! Unusual. But more strangely another Hare ran down and did exactly the same. Then another followed by another! 4 Hares doing exactly the same thing. I do believe God speaks through His creation and this, I believe was no exception and an opportunity for me to listen and ask what was the significance of the 4 hares. I found this encounter an encouragement to simply listen. Hares are very fast and have large ears. Perhaps this was an encouragement to be quick to listen. To be all ears. What is it that God wants to speak to you about? Are you listening? A prayer: Open my ears to hear what you want to say! Speak, I'm all ears! Open my heart to receive your abundant love, Speak, I'm all ears! May I slow down but be quick to hear what you have to say, Speak, I'm all ears! Amen Be still and know that I am God.
