About The Wine A single vineyard Pinot from the volcanic soils "ash cloud" vineyard. 13.5% alcohol for the first time in 12 years getting past 12.5% brings fuller Pinot flavours. 100% destemmed, fermented for a month on skins. Bright ruby in the glass. Elegant over extraction. Fresh red fruits like raspberry with floral undertones. On the palate it’s crisp with lively acidity giving freshness and lift. A wine of finesse rather than power all while retaining its backbone due to the warmer year. A lingering red fruits finish with a real savoury/mineral contemplation and a sense of place.
