Why Provide a Hide? Providing suitable hiding areas is an important part of a reptile enclosure. A hide gives the animal somewhere sheltered to retreat and rest away from exposed areas. Using multiple hides in different parts of the enclosure can also allow a reptile to remain sheltered while choosing between warmer and cooler temperature zones. Natural Sand Glazed Ceramic The sand glazed ceramic construction gives the Exo Terra Den a substantial and stable feel within the enclosure. Its natural stone-like colour and textured exterior make it particularly well suited to naturalistic setups and allow it to blend with rocks, substrate, branches and plants.
