2023 Guigal Côtes du Rhône Rouge - Case of 6 Deal

Guigal is one of the Rhône Valley's most prestigious producers, delivering value and quality all the way from their $30 Côtes du Rhône through to their famous "La Mouline" Côte Rôtie Syrah, which sells for over $900. A blend of 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache and 10% Mourvèdre (Mataro), this wine is from 80+ growers across the Côtes du Rhône appellation, with an average vine age of 35 years. Fermentation is in temperature controlled vats and it then spends 18 months in large format French oak foudres before being bottled. Described as a deep and dark red, intensely aromatic with black fruits and plenty of spice. The palate is plush, juicy and generous, with rounded, smooth tannins.
