Les Trois Copains
Les Trois Copains is a red wine from Régnié in Beaujolais, made entirely from Gamay. Its name means “the three friends”, a warm and simple touch that fits the style of the wine. The grapes come from the Haut Ronze, Bulliat and Lachat sites in Régnié. They are harvested by hand, fermented with native yeasts and made without filtration. Semi-carbonic maceration helps bring out the fresh, juicy side of Gamay, while gentle punch-downs and pump-overs add a little more depth and texture. After fermentation, the wine spends 8 months in a fibre tank, keeping the focus on fruit rather than oak. Expect a Beaujolais with a natural, lively character: easy to enjoy, but with enough detail to make it more than just a simple red.
