Origin

Tira, ⵜⵉⵔⴰ, takes its name from the Amazigh word for “the written,” translating the spirit of ancient Tifinagh script into tactile, modern architecture for the home. Rooted in the visual language Amazigh women have preserved through weaving, the collection explores how a mark becomes a story, written in wool. Origin considers the first mark: the beginning of a story and the traditions that grow from it. Sculptural form, contrasting textures, and an earthy palette drawn from Morocco’s landscapes bring that sense of possibility into the contemporary home. Handwoven in the Middle Atlas village of Beni M’rirt by artisans led by Soukina, these rugs continue her late mother’s legacy of excellence in dense medium to high knot techniques. Made from 100% live wool and dyed with natural ingredients by a third-generation family, each piece carries rich color and plush texture.
