The Alien Mine Remote Driller sits abandoned deep inside the mine, its massive drill frozen in place. There is no sign of the miners who were operating it, only tools and equipment left exactly where they were last used. The marines sent to investigate notice deep gouges and strange damage around the drilling platform that certainly did not come from the machine. Whatever drove the miners away happened suddenly, and there is no record of anyone making it back to the colony. The silence around the abandoned machine makes the team wonder what could have been disturbed beneath the surface...
