Originally woven to provide warmth during horse-drawn travel, these historic blankets are treasured for their remarkable craftsmanship, vibrant colors, and enduring artistry. This extraordinary coat preserves that legacy while transforming it into heirloom wearable art. The back of the coat showcases a captivating portrait of two bridled Arabian horses emerging from a field of richly colored blossoms. Set against a dramatic wine-crimson backdrop, the composition evokes the enduring partnership between horse and rider, framed by flourishing botanicals in shades of soft rose, sage, and antique green. Each of the horses original eyes remain beautifully intact, a rare surviving detail that reflects the remarkable craftsmanship and preservation of the antique textile. The floral motif continues seamlessly onto the front of the coat, where abundant blooms cascade across the body in a vibrant tapestry of crimson, coral, blush, and verdant foliage. Hidden silk-lined pockets are discreetly incorporated into the design, offering both elegance and practicality. The coat is finished with luxurious long-haired black Icelandic wool adorning the sweeping collar, cuffs, and hem.
