The meeting of Damascus steel and Ziricote, a precious wood from Central America A limited edition of 5,000 pieces worldwide, made in France. The N°08 Damas Ziricote celebrates Opinel craftsmanship through the combination of two remarkable materials: Ziricote, a precious wood originating from Central America, and stainless Damascus steel with unique patterns. Naturally grained, Ziricote features shades and patterns that vary from one knife to another, with lighter or darker hues. Each handle is thus different and each knife unique. The anthracite ring with a titanium finish extends the dark and refined aesthetic. The Damasteel® steel blade is produced using powder metallurgy. Two stainless steel powder alloys are compacted, sintered, and then forged to form a homogeneous material. After grinding and polishing, the blade undergoes an acid etching process that reveals the different layers of steel and unveils the characteristic “Sparse Twist™” pattern. This exceptional edition comes with a black lambskin leather case made in France and its user manual. The set is presented in an oak box with a leather strap.
