10 x 10, Acrylic & Ink on Panel, 2026 Part of the Small Wonders collection, Wading features a white egret standing quietly in shallow water beneath a warm California sky. I wanted to capture that calm, patient feeling of watching a bird like this move through the shallows. The bold blocks of color and flowing hand-drawn lines give the scene a slightly dreamlike quality, while keeping the heron as the focus. Painted on wood with acrylic and hand-drawn ink.
