This Château lies between L'Eglise Clinet and Le Gay which both produce great wines but at a significantly inflated price compared to this gem. The Labruyère family come originally from Burgundy and their aim is to produce a charming and silky-textured Pomerol. Their 18ha are planted with 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. The 2019 Rouget is bold, plush and racy to the core. Raspberry jam, spice, kirsch, leather, cedar and sweet pipe tobacco all meld together effortlessly.
