After years as a professional artist and performer, he picked up the guitar and found the instrument that gave him a new way to channel everything he had spent a lifetime putting into music. Five years later, Matt Playz Guitars has performed solo, as a duet and alongside ensembles and creative acts throughout Jacksonville. His sound pulls from an unlikely mix of influences including Nirvana, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, A Tribe Called Quest, Rob Zombie, Eminem and Tech N9ne. The result is familiar music that doesn't sound like everybody else playing it. Sound Included Matt Playz Guitars travels with professional sound options suitable for intimate and medium-sized events and can also integrate into an existing professional production system. Acoustic/classical guitar, electric Strat, looping, effects, MPC and backing production allow the performance to move from stripped-down acoustic moments to a much fuller live sound. He can also accompany guest vocalists or collaborate with additional musicians to create a custom performance for your event.
