Dronetag Scout Gen 2 Drone Remote ID Receiver
Long-Range Remote ID Detection for Fixed Sites The Dronetag Scout Gen 2 is a fixed-site Remote ID receiver designed to provide continuous awareness of drones operating within your monitored airspace. Scout detects Remote ID broadcasts, identifies aircraft and operator location information, records flight activity, and can deliver detection data to the Dronetag platform or your own systems. With dual-band reception across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, Scout Gen 2 provides coverage options ranging from broad 360° monitoring to long-range directional detection. Multiple Scout units can also be networked together to expand coverage across facilities, campuses, cities, or other large areas. Key Features Long-range Remote ID detection – Up to 10 km (6 mi) with Baseline configurations and up to 25 km (15 mi) with High Performance configurations, depending on antenna configuration and operating environment. Dual-band reception – Remote ID reception on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz across Scout Gen 2 antenna configurations. 360° monitoring options – Omnidirectional and multi-sector antenna configurations are available. Operator location awareness – Remote ID information can include the aircraft and operator/control-station location. Flight history – Detection data can be retained for later review and export when using supported software configurations. LTE connectivity – LTE is included in every Scout Gen 2 configuration for sites where wired network connectivity is impractical. PoE connectivity – Supports PoE+ 802.3at and is compatible with PoE 802.3af. Weather-resistant enclosure – IP67-rated enclosure designed for continuous outdoor deployment. Flexible deployment – Suitable for pole, wall, tripod, or vehicle-mounted installations. Multiple integration options – Supports integration with third-party systems through available APIs and supported TAK/SAPIENT integrations. Passive receiver – Scout receives Remote ID transmissions without transmitting Remote ID signals itself. Choose the Right Scout Gen 2 Configuration Scout Gen 2 is available in multiple antenna configurations so you can select the appropriate balance of coverage, range, and aviation awareness for your site. Remote ID Baseline The Baseline configuration uses dual-band omnidirectional antennas to provide broad 360° coverage. It is designed for locations where aircraft may approach from any direction and comprehensive area coverage is the primary objective. Dual-band 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz reception 360° coverage Up to 10 km (6 mi) stated range under suitable conditions Ideal for general fixed-site Remote ID monitoring Baseline + Aviation Adds a dual-band aviation antenna to the Baseline configuration, allowing supported manned-aircraft traffic to be displayed alongside drone detections. Supported aviation protocols include: ADS-B FLARM ADS-L OGN UAT Remote ID High Performance The High Performance configuration combines four dual-band sector antennas with an omnidirectional antenna. The sector antennas provide increased long-range detection capability and are particularly suited to complex environments where RF interference may affect reception. Dual-band 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz reception Four sector antennas plus omnidirectional coverage 90° sector antenna beamwidth Up to 25 km (15 mi) directional range under suitable conditions Full 360° coverage using multiple sectors Multi-antenna pole adapter included High Performance + Aviation Combines the long-range High Performance sector antenna configuration with the dual-band aviation antenna. This configuration provides long-range Remote ID detection while simultaneously supporting compatible manned-aircraft traffic data. Which Scout configuration do you need? US versions are designed with FirstNet capability in mind. Availability of specific FirstNet functionality may depend on firmware and network support. Advexure will only support US versions. Four Operating Modes Scout Gen 2 can be deployed in different operating modes depending on whether you need a standalone sensor, Dronetag cloud services, or a fully self-hosted solution. Sensor Mode Sensor Mode provides the raw Remote ID detection data so your organization can process, store, visualize, or integrate the information into its own infrastructure. Raw detection data MQTT and HTTP/webhook integration options Customer-controlled data processing and storage No Dronetag Cloud subscription required Well suited for OEMs, system integrators, C-UAS platforms, and organizations with their own software infrastructure Sensor+ Mode Sensor+ adds additional data processing and drone model recognition while maintaining a self-hosted deployment approach. It is intended for organizations that want additional Dronetag functionality and support without moving their detection data into a cloud workflow. Drone manufacturer and model recognition Enhanced detection data Desktop visualization capabilities Firmware and database updates when connected Support for integrations such as TAK and SAPIENT Cloud Mode Cloud Mode provides a turnkey Remote ID monitoring solution. Scout sends detection data to the Dronetag Cloud platform where it can be viewed through supported web and mobile applications. Real-time detection visualization Flight history Alerts Data export Whitelist capabilities Multi-sensor data processing and deduplication API access Support for multiple Scout receivers On-Premise Mode On-Premise Mode is designed for organizations that need their Remote ID data to remain within their own network. Processing and visualization can be hosted locally without sending operational detection data to the Dronetag Cloud. This deployment option is particularly suited to environments with stringent security, data sovereignty, or network requirements. Built for Continuous Outdoor Deployment Scout Gen 2 uses an IP67-rated enclosure and is designed for continuous outdoor operation. The system incorporates built-in heating and passive cooling to support operation across a wide range of environmental conditions. Operating temperature: -20°C to +50°C (-4°F to 122°F) Ingress protection: IP67 / NEMA-6 Typical power consumption: 6 W Maximum power consumption: 10 W Connectivity Scout Gen 2 supports both wired and cellular connectivity. PoE can provide power and network connectivity through a single connection, while the integrated LTE capability provides an alternative for installations without convenient wired network access. A SIM card is not included by default. Remote ID Detection Scout is designed to receive Broadcast/Direct Remote ID transmissions using supported Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies. Scout Gen 2 supports Remote ID reception across both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Supported message technologies include: Bluetooth 4 Bluetooth 5 Wi-Fi Beacon Wi-Fi NAN Applications Scout Gen 2 can be deployed anywhere persistent awareness of Remote ID-equipped aircraft is required. Law enforcement and public safety Drone as First Responder programs Airports and aviation facilities Critical infrastructure Correctional facilities Power and energy facilities Stadiums and large venues Event security Corporate security Government facilities Military and defense applications Environmental and wildlife monitoring Urban and municipal monitoring C-UAS and sensor-fusion systems Designed for Integration Scout Gen 2 can operate as a standalone sensor or become part of a larger airspace-awareness architecture. Detection data can be integrated with customer systems using available APIs and supported interfaces. Supported integrations and protocols include options for TAK, SAPIENT, MQTT, HTTP/webhooks, and API-based integrations, depending on the selected operating mode and software configuration.
