1823 George IIII Gold Full Sovereign - EX RARE Marsh R3
1823 George IIII Gold Full Sovereign - EX RARE Marsh R3 Very rare in any grade and seldom encountered in such high condition, the 1823 is the key date of the George IV Laureate Head Sovereign series. Just 616,770 were struck, by far the lowest recorded mintage of the 1821–24 Laureate Head years. Surviving examples are normally encountered with considerable circulation wear, making a high-grade example such as this particularly difficult to find.
