Mini Goblin™

Classic Estes Design Meets Hands-On STEM Learning The Mini Goblin™ brings the personality of the classic Goblin into a compact format that fits naturally into educational rocketry programs. At 10 inches tall, it gives students a manageable model to construct while still delivering the excitement of a rocket capable of reaching up to 400 feet. Its bold yellow and black styling also makes the finished rocket easy to identify on the pad and gives students a finished project they can be proud to launch. Build Skills Beyond the Beginner Level Rated as an intermediate model rocket kit, the Mini Goblin™ gives students an opportunity to develop more advanced construction skills. Laser cut balsa wood fins must be prepared, aligned, attached, and finished, creating a hands-on experience that rewards careful measurement, patience, and attention to detail. For educators and youth leaders moving participants beyond introductory kits, the Mini Goblin provides a natural next step without requiring a large or overly complex rocket. Explore Flight With 13 mm Mini Engines The Mini Goblin™ flies on recommended 1/2A3-2T, A3-4T, and A10-3T Estes engines, giving educators multiple engine options to incorporate into launch activities. With a maximum altitude of 400 feet, students can observe how a lightweight 1.1 ounce rocket performs under different recommended engine configurations. Those flights can support discussions about thrust, altitude, mass, stability, and how design choices influence the performance of a model rocket. Streamer Recovery Keeps the Learning Going After reaching altitude, the Mini Goblin™ uses streamer recovery for its descent. The highly visible recovery sequence gives students another stage of flight to observe while reinforcing the importance of properly preparing and packing a recovery system before every launch. A Compact Rocket for Growing STEM Programs Measuring 0.98 inches in diameter and launching from a Porta-Pad® II with a 1/8 inch launch rod, the Mini Goblin™ works with familiar Estes launch equipment while adding intermediate-level variety to your program. Whether used with a classroom rocketry unit, STEM club, camp, scouting group, or youth organization, it offers a satisfying combination of building, experimentation, and launch-day excitement in a compact package.
