Large Mid Century Bear Charm with Organic Texture

A charming, large, and very chunky, mid twentieth century bear charm, modeled realistically in 18k yellow gold. This formidable fellow has a sweet upturned face, and an expressive, inquisitive posture— he leans slightly forward, as if to bellow. Our friend was made with an all-over organic/rustic/nugget-y texture that gives him a sculptural, naturalistic quality. He hangs from an oversized bail, and is marked 18k for purity. This may have been made in Alaska, from native gold. The color is rich and slightly rosy.
