Poetics of the circle. Rondo mirror by Oskar Zięta is a sculptural object that moves beyond the conventional definition of a mirror, positioned between functional design and art. Its circular, convex form is defined by a highly polished stainless steel surface that reflects and subtly distorts its surroundings, creating a dynamic interaction with light and space. The mirror is produced using Zięta’s proprietary FiDU technology, where two flat steel sheets are welded and then inflated with compressed air to form a three-dimensional volume. This process results in characteristic soft deformations and irregular reflections, making each piece visually unique while emphasizing the material’s structural lightness and strength.
