Unlike a conventional CD player, it outputs a pure, unprocessed digital bitstream directly to your DAC — with no onboard conversion circuitry in the signal path. The result is a cleaner, more transparent source signal than any all-in-one disc spinner can deliver. Built on a 10.9kg machined-aluminium chassis, the Platina CDT uses a TCXO (Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator) master clock to eliminate jitter, a structurally dampened transport mechanism to suppress mechanical noise, and an isolated power supply to keep interference away from the data pathway. It outputs via Coaxial and Optical, supports gapless playback, and plays WAV, FLAC, MP3, AAC and APE files from USB HDD.
