Pie Making Class at I Love Pie Bakeshop: Classic Chicken Pot Pie Join us at I Love Pie Bakeshop for a comforting, savory pie-making class featuring a classic Chicken Pot Pie wrapped in a buttery, flaky double crust. In this 2.5 to 3-hour workshop, you'll learn the fundamentals of savory pie-making from scratch, beginning with a live demonstration of our signature all-butter pie dough. Then it’s your turn: you’ll mix, roll, and shape your own crust by hand while learning essential techniques for creating a beautiful double crust pie, including sealing, venting, and decorative finishing. For this class, we’ll take a hybrid hands-on and demonstration approach. You’ll watch a live demo of how to prepare a rich, creamy homemade pot pie gravy, then use the prepared gravy to assemble your own pie. Each student will work with classic chicken pot pie ingredients including diced chicken breast, potatoes, peas, and carrots to create a hearty, comforting filling from scratch. You’ll assemble your pie, top it with a full crust, and prepare it for baking. You’ll go home with: Your own freshly baked 8” Classic Chicken Pot Pie, recipes for all items made in class for recreating it at home, and the confidence to make savory pies from scratch anytime.
