Vintage Mens 1950s 1960s Jaeger Cardigan Sweater Ribbed Saddle Sleeves Sandy Camel Beige Wool 42"

A vintage 1950s or early 1960s cardigan made in Great Britain by 'Jaeger' from all wool yarn in a fine zigzag racked rib pattern in sandy camel beige colour. It has a V neck, saddle shoulders, ribbed waistband & cuffs, 2 lower pockets, & fastens with leather 'football' buttons. Please study the photographs carefully - they form an important part of the description. Size: Marked 42 - shown on a mannequin with a 38" chest - Please check measurements below) All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate (with approx. metric equivalent): Chest pit to pit: 22 1/2” (57cm) Width at Hem: 20 1/2” (52cm) relaxed Sleeve length centre neck to cuff: 34 1/2" (87.6cm) approx. Sleeves length pit to cuff: 17” (43cm) Length neck back from bottom of collar to hem: 26” (66cm) Condition: In very good condition overall with some surface wear, fuzziness & minor bobbling - there is a small worn spot on the outer side of the lower right sleeve (arrowed) - slight seam separation & a repair at the armpits - a few very faint marks/spots around the right cuff area & lower front which the camera couldn't see. Has been steamed prior to listing but not laundered. Returns: I do my very best to carefully list/illustrate any flaws I find.
