Curious. Attentive. Guided by instinct as much as intelligence. This piece explores that presence. A way of navigating that is both searching and aware, both cautious and open. In Maya ways of seeing, animals were not separate from the spiritual life of the world, but part of it. Carriers of qualities, reflections of something both within and beyond us. The pizote holds a reminder of intuition, of play, and of shared movement. That what we seek is not only found alone, but often through connection. Between one another, and within ourselves.
