KWD-5301TR: License key that enables DMR trunking, Tier III. Requires separate purchase of KWD-5300CV in order to be enabled and operate. DMR Tier III is a digital trunked radio standard based on DMR Tier II and influenced by the legacy MPT1327 concept. Unlike conventional systems with fixed channels, Tier 3 automatically assigns available frequencies to radios and talkgroups for more efficient channel use. DMR Tier III is intended for licensed PMR networks, especially larger systems with many radios, sites, talkgroups, and users. It is designed for organizations that need efficient spectrum use. ETSI DMR Tier III uses two-slot TDMA in 12.5 kHz channels and adds full digital trunking on top of Tier II. It can handle the same traffic with fewer RF channels, helping reduce licensing costs and improve channel utilization. DMR Tier 3 supports individual, group, all-call, emergency, PSTN/PABX, half-duplex, and full-duplex voice services. It also supports text and status messaging, GPS/location services. Kenwood, EF Johnson, Motorola Solutions, TAIT, and Harris/L3Harris compatible (not guaranteed; additional infrastructure-side licenses may be required, and not all proprietary infrastructure features may be supported by Kenwood). Valid for the NX-5000 platform only. In-stock inventory (activated by our volume license as a service). If you need the keys as a file (JKEFR) sent to you via email, do not order here. Go to the "Kenwood radio features as a file" section and order there. You do not need to wait up to 2-4 weeks as with a custom order from Kenwood. Lead time: 1 business day only. Valid for one radio only (if you need this feature for more than one radio, order the matching quantity). No refunds or chargebacks per manufacturer rules.
