Amazonite is a variety of potassium feldspar, its characteristic blue-green color produced by trace amounts of lead and water within the crystal lattice. The stone forms in granite pegmatites and presents a matte, waxy surface that carries its color evenly and quietly. White calcite streaking runs through the matrix in varying densities, so no two tiles are identical in surface pattern.
