Designed by & Exclusive to The Hattery and Hatsdirect.com The first hat we designed for the Wentworth Hat Company. We have always wanted to make a classic late 1940's design that leaned into the sporty transition of the time. A lowered ribbon height and mid-tapered fedora paired to a super practical 7cm brim make the Townsman an easy choice for everyday wear. A hat that walks the line between formal and casual wear beautifully. We were inspired by old adverts in our archive at The Hattery when designing the Townsman. A style that paired just as well to the trench coat & three-piece suit of London as well as the t-shirt and denim trousers outfit of the post war United States. The use of dress weight, suede rabbit fur felt adds a luxurious and period accurate touch to this hat. A tall and super soft internal sweatband from the Luxury Leather group of New Zealand paired to a decorative navy paisley viscose lining finishes the hat in comfortable style.
