Smiling Motif Washi Masking Tape (Japan)
Hohoemi means "smile," and that's the idea behind this washi tape series from World Craft. Each roll carries a single illustrated motif — a taiyaki, an onigiri, a shiba inu, a maneki-neko, a sumo wrestler, a haniwa figure — drawn in a simple line style, each with a small, deliberate grin. The tape is made from Japanese paper, finished with a light adhesive that tears cleanly by hand, and comes on a 5-metre roll. It works as most washi tape does: for sealing envelopes, marking pages, labelling jars, or adding a small graphic note to a notebook, letter, or parcel. We're carrying a selection of motifs from this series rather than the complete run of designs — ask in store if you're after a particular one. Made in Japan.
