Half of bee venom consists of the active ingredient melittin, which is responsible for the effect of bee venom alongside the various amino acids. According to studies, this is a water-soluble, antimicrobial peptide and is used for muscle and joint tension, skin care (e.g. blemishes, scars), swelling and redness. It is also used in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) for arthritis & rheumatism to support the symptoms. Which herbal extracts does it contain?
