VINTAGE BLACK HAORI SHEER “ro, men's Montsuki, goka-ni-hidari-mitsudomoe, SHH052"

Genuine vintage Japanese kimono. This is called a HAORI. It used to be worn as the first formal jacket for Japanese men. My proposal is to wear haori as a unisex casual fashion, different from the original way of wearing kimono. One-of-a-kind-vintage. There are two types of Japanese kimonos traditionally worn in the summer: "ro" and "sha." Both are made of silk. (Some recent ones have synthetic fibers. ) Kimono fabrics of "ro" and "sha" are sheer and beautiful. This fabric is "ro." It features a beautiful transparent material. In the old days, only a few people of high status were allowed to have KAMON, but during the Meiji era (1868–1912), ordinary people were also permitted to use them. This haori family crest is called 「五瓜に左三つ巴（ごかにひだりみつどもえ / Goka-ni-hidari-mitsudomoe）」. Goka-ni-hidari-mitsudomoe is a traditional Japanese family crest combining a five-section gourd-like outer shape with the hidari-mitsudomoe motif of three swirling forms. The tomoe design has long been associated with protection, strength, and spiritual energy, while the surrounding form adds balance and harmony to the composition.
