Greater Bilby are solitary animals that use their strong forelimbs to dig burrows to shelter in during the day. These burrows reach depths of 3 m and often descend in a spiral formation. At night, they dig around in the soil in search of food, with a varied diet consisting of grass and sedge seeds, bulbs, insects and larvae.
