Jeanette is a highly skilled fibre artist, having received her artistic education from her mother, Nancy Walanyinawuy. Nancy's guidance and teachings have been a source of inspiration for numerous fibre artists in Gapuwiyak. Crafted from Gunga, also known as Pandanus Palm, this intricately woven basket involves a meticulous coiling technique, and it is coloured with dyes derived from native bush plants.
