Wood Sorrel Print
Tess Newall’s collection of botanical paintings reimagines antique botanical etchings. Referencing plants often found in her murals, nine plant studies have been painted using gouache and reproduced as fine art prints. The collection includes English wildflowers such as red campion, lady’s thimble and forget-me-not. Wood Sorrel ~ Commonly found in shady woodland, wood sorrel’s distinctive heart-shaped leaves fold downwards at night or in harsh sunlight. Entirely edible with a sharp lemony flavour, ‘sorrel’ comes from the Old French surele, meaning ‘sour’. Fine art giclée prints on archival cotton rag paper, available in two sizes.
