Winged skull with a coffin shape vesuvianite gemstone pendant The winged skull was a popular symbol on gravestones throughout the 18th century; a classic memento mori symbol. Inspired by Olivia Faust painting Strawberry Burial, this winged skull has a a very distinct touch. All the elements were first hand-fabricated before being molded and cast, giving them that perfectly imperfect look. the winged skull part is about 6mm wide the band is 3mm wide... thick enough and sturdy will be made just for you, in 3-4 weeks. This collection was created in collaboration with artist Olivia Faust, whose hauntingly beautiful work served as the inspiration behind each piece. With her blessing and creative input, I translated her signature motifs, sugar-coated decadence, and vintage goth aesthetics into wearable art.
