Meet the third generation TYRO! FFWD keep developing, at every level, to make sure their most accessible wheelset stays true to what FFWD is all about: performance, durability and real value. The result: a TYRO that's lighter, faster and more versatile. New rims: more aero, more allroad The new TYRO features an updated rim profile with improved aerodynamics and a 23mm internal width. Resulting in a more allroad wheelset. TYRO has always been a popular choice for gravel bikes, but is now even more suitable as it comfortably fits tyres up to 45mm. Importantly, the TYRO maintains a hooked rim design. This ensures maximum compatibility and safety, allowing you to run almost any tyre brand, tubeless or with inner tube, at the pressure that suits your ride, whether you're on smooth tarmac or chunky gravel. New N/LITE Hubs For the new TYRO FFWD developed a new FFWD hub, N/LITE. It shares key DNA features of its bigger brother, the N/GAGE hub, used in RYOT and DRIFT. For example grams are saved through smart engineering of the hub shell design, without compromising reliability. Internally these hubs keep their trusted ratchet system with a new 18T system, providing fast engagement and superior durability compared to the pawl systems typically found in this price range. Lighter wheels The rim and hub updates result in a significant weight reduction of 100 grams on the new TYRO. A serious performance upgrade for enthusiastic cyclists who are ready for the next step. What's in the box TYRO wheelset (front and rear) Pre-installed tubeless tape Tubeless valves Disc rotors are not included!
