Marian's performance was so impressive that even Bill Evans said she was "the most impressive pianist I've heard recently."* Her musical world, which emphasizes intimate musical dialogue with the bassist and weaves chamber music-like elegance and serenity, follows in the lineage of interplay pioneered by Evans and LaFarro in "Waltz for Debby."
