Marian McPartland - Interplay [used]
A 1976 reissue by the prestigious German label MPS, featuring a 1969 recording by the duo of Marian McPartland (p.) and Linc Milliman (b.). Marian's performance was so impressive that even Bill Evans said she was "the most impressive pianist I've heard recently."* Her musical world, which emphasizes intimate musical dialogue with the bassist and weaves chamber music-like elegance and serenity, follows in the lineage of interplay pioneered by Evans and LaFarro in "Waltz for Debby." This edition features a new jacket design, reflecting the duo's musical world visually as well. *Bill Evans's comment from the 1975 Monterey Festival can be found in the liner notes on the back cover of this album. *The adhesive on the jacket's seams may be prone to peeling due to age. Please be sure to check the condition section. Item Details Artwork: Rolf Becker(design), Heiner F.
