More antique feather edge serve ware - this time in green! This stunning large stoneware platter is waiting to bring new life and beauty to your home. Embossed with a semi-shell edge design with agrarian motifs, this deep forest green hue with take your breath away. Once used as utilitarian pieces in England and beyond, they are today highly collectible. Item Condition Good condition with wear consistent with age and use. Fading/mottling, crazing and surface marks from production, this piece is free from cracks and chips. Gloss glaze with scratches and pock marks. Reverse side shows slight puddling of the green glaze on the rim area. Likely made in the early- to mid-1800s. ** Appears to be marked on bottom with 288 or 887 plus a small incised mark (? maybe 'STALL 15'). >> Please view pictures carefully as they are part of the description.
