A quietly commanding dining table attributed to John Tabraham for Kallenbach, where proportion, material, and restraint come together with effortless clarity. Crafted in Sapele mahogany, the table draws you in through its rich, even grain and softly rounded oval form. The base is where the piece truly reveals itself, a sculptural composition of curved supports and a central stretcher, grounded by solid brass feet that subtly adjust for level and add a considered, modern edge to the design. The table extends with ease, opening from the centre to reveal a neatly concealed leaf stored beneath. In its extended form, it comfortably accommodates larger gatherings, while remaining perfectly composed in its closed state. Fully restored, stripped, sanded, and resealed, the timber has been brought back to its full depth and tone. It presents beautifully, with only subtle, age-consistent signs remaining. Please note: pictured and featured in some of the photos is a matching set of six chairs, available to purchase separately here. They make a fabulous dining room set. Condition: The table has been fully restored and presents beautifully. A prior restoration had been undertaken before our work, which we have carefully refined to the best of our ability. Minor marks remain in places, consistent with age, but overall, the piece is in very good condition.
