Introducing the spring 2026 release of Old Commonwealth Distillery's iconic Kentucky Nectar, a distinguished expression of wheated Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey finished in a honey cask. Bottled at cask strength and double-oaked, this exquisite bourbon offers a refined balance of robust oak and delicate honeyed sweetness, creating a bold yet harmonious flavor profile. Nose: Soft toasted honey bread, light black pepper, vanilla cream, subtle tannins, and a medley of baking spices Palate: Presents itself with a very textured, oily mouthfeel. Touches of black tea with honey, graham cracker, sweet brown sugar, hint of toasted oak, and stewed fruits. Finish: A complex finish, with a long length. This batch creates layers upon layers both mid palate and on the finish; starting with oak tannins and allspice, transferring into honey wheat bread, butterscotch and vanilla, with just a hint of char before rounding out into a medley of sugar, vanilla, and tea.
