The V8 that powered the Sherman tank was engineering ahead of its decade — an 18-litre all-aluminium block, twin overhead cams, and not a single belt or chain anywhere: every camshaft, pump and magneto driven by gears, because battlefields don't wait for maintenance. This build recreates that powerplant in 1,385 pieces across 24 cm of V-configured block, ignition leads running the cylinder banks, intake and exhaust plumbing in place, and a front crank pulley leading the accessory drive — all mounted on its own display base.
