Produce a refined edge finish with the SHARPAL RES-3000 Resin-Bonded Diamond Plate. The 3000 grit surface is designed as a fine finishing step after conventional diamond sharpening. It progressively reduces the scratch pattern and refines the cutting edge before final polishing or stropping. Diamond abrasive is distributed throughout the resin-bonded layer rather than applied only to the surface. This full-matrix construction provides smooth sharpening feedback, good wear resistance, and continued abrasive exposure as the working surface is used. The resin-bonded diamond abrasive is particularly suitable for refining hard and high-carbide knife steels. Its low-loading surface is easy to maintain and does not require soaking. The 1" × 6" beveled-end metal-backed format fits the SHARPAL Universal Abrasive Plate Holder and other compatible holders. Designed for dry use. A small amount of water may be added when preferred. Use light pressure and clean the surface after sharpening.
