Micro Precision 3.16 MKIII 6.5-Inch Midbass Driver The Micro Precision 3.16 MKIII is a 6.5-inch midbass driver designed for two-way and three-way automotive audio systems. It combines a lightweight motor structure, rigid aluminum cone, and refined suspension design to deliver natural vocals, exceptional detail, and dynamic midrange reproduction. Aluminum Cone The 3.16 MKIII uses a high-grade aluminum cone with an inverted reinforcing cap. The diaphragm combines rigidity, low mass, and controlled damping to minimize unwanted resonances while preserving excellent transient response. This design allows the driver to reproduce vocals, instruments, and complex musical detail with outstanding clarity and precision throughout the midrange. Optimized Suspension & Cooling The MKIII incorporates a specially profiled surround designed to reduce resonance and minimize distortion caused by cone deformation. A progressive textile spider improves linearity and control throughout the driver's excursion, maintaining precision even at higher output levels. A generously vented motor structure directs heat away from the voice coil, reducing thermal compression while improving long-term reliability and dynamic performance. Compact Installation The 3.16 MKIII has a 145mm cutout diameter and a 65mm mounting depth, allowing it to fit many standard 6.5-inch automotive speaker locations.
