The Saree Rich in colour and intricate detail, Ananthagiri is a handwoven Pochampally Ikat silk saree that brings together a deep maroon body with delicate motifs in soft pink and vivid red. The body is covered in closely arranged floral and geometric Ikat forms, creating the impression of a richly patterned tapestry. Small blossoms, angular vines and diamond-like details move rhythmically across the dark ground, with occasional red accents adding warmth and depth. The softly blurred edges of each motif reflect the distinctive character of yarn-resist Ikat weaving. A broad copper-gold zari border frames the elaborate body, finished with fine lines of deep maroon and red. Its warm, lustrous surface creates a refined contrast against the dense patterning and lends the saree an elegant festive presence. The Pallu The pallu opens into a brighter magenta-red composition, creating a vivid counterpoint to the deep maroon body. Alternating horizontal bands feature geometric floral medallions woven in soft pink and ivory, separated by fine linear zari stripes.
