Original Vietnam War US OG-107 Jungle Fatigue Jacket Size Large-Short. The Tropical Combat Uniform (TCU), frequently referred to as "jungle fatigues," was issued to U.S. military personnel engaged in the Vietnam War starting in 1964. It featured the same OG-107 color as the standard utility uniform but differed in design and materials. Constructed from lightweight cotton poplin, the uniform included trousers with cargo pockets on both legs and a bush jacket-style shirt with angled chest pockets and two lower pockets. The design underwent several modifications throughout the conflict to address functional deficiencies, and later variants incorporating the ERDL camouflage pattern were distributed to special forces and Marine units.
