Cristal de Sèvres Carafe | 1L Decanter
A crystal carafe that holds the table after the plates are cleared — wine decanted, water poured slow, the kind of object that turns the end of a meal into its own quiet hour. Heavy crystal with an elongated, rounded body. The form draws upward to a slim neck. A long rectangular stopper seats cleanly at the top. At 39 cm with the stopper, it has real presence on a drinks tray or sideboard. One litre — enough for a full bottle decanted with room to breathe. Cristal de Sèvres traces to the cristallerie founded at Sèvres in 1750 under the patronage of Madame de Pompadour, originally supplying the court of Louis XV. The house carried that tradition of fine French crystal into the modern era; this carafe is from its later production, around the 2000s.
