BEGINNER: SASHIKO INSPIRED STITCHING / MONDAY OCTOBER 19 6-8PM

Sashiko stitching originated in Northern Japan, it means "little stab" or "little pierce". It was originally invented for warmth and strengthening worn clothing and household linens. It has long been a beloved and pleasing design aspect in the mending world as well as just purely decorative. In this workshop we will learn the practice of using the running stitch to create designs and the different methods of tackling your chosen design. This is a great workshop for anyone ages 16+ who has an interest in hand stitching, no experience needed. WORKSHOP DETAILS Our studio is located at 1842 E Main St in Ventura, CA, please arrive on time to the workshop. We'll be sending an info email out before the class so make sure to look for that! CANCELLATION POLICY To cancel or reschedule, please contact 4 days before class. Staff and materials are prepared for scheduled classes based on their capacity. Unfortunately, cancelled or rescheduled workshops are not eligible for a refund. You are awarded full class credit toward a future class if cancelled 4 days or before. If cancelling or rescheduling within the 4 day period, no class credit can be given.
