Tommaso Barbi Wisteria Table Lamp -- a rare piece of Italian mid-century design, hand-crafted in hammered brass by Tommaso Barbi, Italy, circa 1970s. Barbi was one of the great sculptor-designers of postwar Italian lighting, working in the organic leaf and botanical forms that defined a generation of Bottega Gadda output. The Wisteria motif is considered among the rarest and most sought-after of his brass designs, its cascading, hand-hammered leaf form catching light with the same tactile, sculptural quality found across his ginkgo and rhubarb leaf pieces. This table lamp brings that same sculptural presence to a more intimate scale, suited to a console, sideboard, or bedside setting.
