Six layers of resin. Six layers of paint. One octopus, suspended in water that never stops moving.This piece began the way most of my work does, with something pulled from nature and reimagined through resin. The wood is hand cut into a circle, and the octopus is built up in stages: paint a layer, let it cure, sand it back, polish, then paint again. Six times over.
