Vintage 1930s Art Deco 18K .15 carat VS2/H Old European Cut diamond engagement ring

An Art Deco engagement ring with a twinkling old cut diamond tucked in a filigreed mounting. The diamond is modest (.15 carat) but its setting - in a square, floating head - creates the illusion of a larger stone! The mounting has openwork details around the gallery and through the shoulders. Of special note is a repeating plume-shaped motif, as well as coiled curlicues. These abstract designs are a departure from the floral and ribbon motifs so often prevalent in 1930s bridal rings. We love this one!
